The final – what surge that sound can start! Porsche Carrera Cup Italy and France finish at the same time, in Monza and Le Castellet, accordingly. And again, as in old joke: should we divide in two parts?! It took some time for Tsunami RT and its pilot Oleksandr Gaidai to make a decision...
O. Gaidai: "It was a very difficult choice for me. Paul Ricard is a track I am very good on and I would be able to demonstrate a presentable result, and it's always a great pleasure for me.
And Monza is not the Italian track I am good on. Monza is rather boring for me. The last one to pull up in the turn is the fastest to arrive. I understand that it is a famous track, but it's not interesting for me. But we should be able to drive even on boring and not interesting tracks of the Italian Championship. And every race, every practice, every possibility to drive here is a groundwork for the next year, when we hope to be in top-3 according to the PCCI season results.
So I understand that I should go to Monza in my mind, but my heart is there, in France. As always, the emotions are settled down and I go where I have to but without great enthusiasm. I'll try to have good results!"
So, the conflict between senses and mind (almost as Jane Austen wrote) was resolved in favor of the Italian Porsche Cup and the track in Monza.
Let us precise the schedule for the upcoming weekend.
